I’m so glad you’re here!

The artists of Carmel-by-the-Sea had enchanted me long before I ever imagined living here. I fell in love with its improbable history—a place where painters, poets, dreamers, actors, and makers gathered because beauty mattered enough to build a life around it. It felt like proof that art could shape an entire community.

When my family and I arrived, it felt less like discovering Carmel than remembering it.

Finding the Owl & Kittycat space felt equally improbable. There are moments in life that refuse to be explained by coincidence, and this was one of them. I often say that four remarkable women—my matriarchs, whose lives continue to echo through mine—conspired from somewhere beyond my understanding to place me exactly where I was meant to be. Whether you call that ancestry, intuition, grace, or simply love that refuses to disappear, I have never doubted they helped guide me here.

Owl & Kittycat grew from all of these threads.

It is a love letter to old things and new beginnings.

To craftsmanship that survives generations.
